Jenn from Just Add Water Silly, is this weeks hostess For the Inspiration Avenue's Weekly Team Challenge, and her theme for this week is "foliage".
Originally i intended to do a watercolor with lots of ferns and fiddle-heads that i am so fond of; however yesterday i changed my mind & decided to try this as a collage. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment in the process of creating this piece, and with each collage i make, i love the medium more and more.
I love the subtle colors and the combination of prints. This collage is really lovely.

DeleteThis is so beautiful, Diane. We've been seeing so many springy pastel colors lately. I love the autumn look this has. The composition is wonderful! I love the way the curved lines take your eye right up the page.
ReplyDeleteOh sweet Maggie thank you bunches for all your encouraging words!
DeleteOh Diane, since I don't draw, but depend on collage and mixed media, this piece turned out perfect. I love, love, love it.

ReplyDeleteThank so much Lori for visiting and for your kind compliments! i went to your blog too & admired your "of Heaven & Earth" piece! :)
DeleteDiane, I love collage work. You just get lost in it. Your submission is wonderful. Don't you just love not knowing how you will start it or how it will end up and then you end up with a piece that you love, like this one?
ReplyDeleteHi there Kim!! Yes I love when a piece comes easy & flows creatively. Sometimes a lot of planning goes into my collages but others, are like a spontaneous dance :)
DeleteHugs!
This is lovely. Collage is fun, you may just have inspired me to do some again.
ReplyDeleteHi Ann! It's great to see you here again! Right now i am so enjoying collage, everything else seems tame. And i would love to see what you do with it! :)
DeleteThis is very pretty-- this collage has beautiful and organic movement to it, which mirrors the fact it is of leaves (which are organic and have a movement in and of themselves) very nicely. Thanks for posting this, and for your very cool "Words" challenge this week!
