Jenn has a new challenge in her Artists Play Room, "Coffee & Tea" and boy was this fun to do! In fact I had so much fun playing around that it was difficult to stop!
I didn't go with any of my usual mediums, instead it was all digital photography.
Thanks so much Jenn for this wonderful challenge!!
Congrats on the J.A.W.s Featured Artists....amazing pieces.

DeleteDiane,
ReplyDeleteyour digital work is spectacular, I'm not surprised, an artist is an artist, no matter what they touch. :o)
Hugs,
Jenn
Oh Jenn thanks! i like what you said, "an artist is an artist no matter what they touch" that is a great quote!! I love it! and dear friend i love you too, i saw the feature you did on me!!! You are a multi-talented artist who is thoughtful and kind! BIG HUG!!!
DeleteDelightful pieces Diane! All the best....
ReplyDeleteHi there Laura!! how great it is to see you again! thank you so very much :)

DeleteHi Diane - I don't seem to have your e-mail address, could you email me at editors [at] featuringmagazine [dot] com please? Thanks! Marit (BTW, gorgeous work here!)
ReplyDeleteHi Marit! Yes, i just emailed you my info. and thank you for your kind compliment! :)
Deletesoft and dreamy!
ReplyDeleteAnd i loved your haiku for the IA challenge...and i just saw the one you did awaiting the birth of your grandchild... splendidly beautiful!
DeleteThese are all so beautiful! You are so good at digital work, isn't it fun?
ReplyDeleteThe coffee and tea theme is great too. I'm trying to make time to enter Jenn's Artists Play Room. On my way to see your feature...
Yes it is fun!! i could easily spend the entire day creating art digitally! Oh, btw i LOVE the new look you created for your blog Maggie! It's total perfection! :D
DeleteI have never been able to do digital art, although I have the software. Of course, I need a good camera, which I don't have. But you have truly mastered both the art of digital imagery, and the art of fun photography. Awesome.
ReplyDeleteHi there Elizabeth! thanks! i'll tell you a secret- my camera is a Kodak with only 10.2megapixels. If i wanted a really great shot this camera can't give it to me, but when playing around digitally, it doesn't seem to matter. :)
DeleteI love your digital experimenting. It's hard to stop sometimes, isn't it? I didn't participate in Jenn's challenge this week, but will be sure to join the 'rainbow' theme next week. thanks for the visit.
ReplyDeletewhy thank you Terrie! and YES it is hard to stop when the creativity is flowing. If i didn't have a husband who likes to eat regular meals, i'd create for hours on end until exhausted! :D
DeleteI love the combination of pattern and colour here. I also love that you've used a medium that's quite new to you (though I'd never have guessed that - you've created such gorgeous effects!)
ReplyDeleteThis challenge is so on my list of things to do - I just need more hours in the day! :)
Hi Angie! thank you for the compliment! i know what you mean about not enough hours in a day... Wouldn't it be wonderful if all we had to do was just create?! :D sheer heaven! Thanks for dropping by & i hope to see you again! :D
